We work with landowners and operators to provide specialist legal advice on telecommunications agreements and related issues.

What we can do for you

The law surrounding this ever-advancing sector is complex and requires specialist expertise to understand the issues. We advise on the impact of the Electronic Communications Code on telecommunications agreements and work on high volume and time critical projects. Our expertise extends to property litigation matters such as the procedure for the renewal of business tenancies and proceedings associated with the exercise of statutory rights by Code operators.

Real Estate

We deal with all types of Telecommunication matters, including the renewal and/or grant of code agreements, in-build leases and 1954 Act leases. We also offer specialist advice on variations to existing legal documents, surrenders, assignments, easements and redevelopment agreements.

We work closely with in-house telecommunications teams and industry experts when advising on rights and obligations concerning telecommunications sites. As well as working on the day to day legal matters, we can help you by advising on the implementation of your strategic business goals through to providing administrative support, such as uploading deeds and inputting of legal data into your company’s intranet.

We also act for landlords, tenants and service providers in drafting, negotiating and completing wayleave agreements. Our electronic communications expertise makes us particularly well-placed to advise on wayleaves where the Electronic Communications Code applies.

Dispute Resolution

We advise on commercial disputes, both in court proceedings and tribunal proceedings. We also deal with lease renewal proceedings, whether opposed or unopposed.

We assist you when serving notices pursuant to telecommunications legislation and providing specialist, tailored commercial advice throughout the notice procedure, along with providing advice on how to invoke/exercise the relevant statutory rights.

We work closely with industry experts when advising on rights and obligations concerning telecommunications sites, as well as advising on how to implement your strategic business goals.

Training & Secondments

We work closely with in-house telecommunications teams offering training and advice in relation to issues arising out of the new telecommunications legislation.

We're also often asked by clients to work alongside their in-house teams on a secondment basis so that they can benefit from immediate access to our expertise. This also gives us the best possible insight into their business, enabling us to see first hand how they work to achieve their commercial aims whilst ensuring compliance with the Code.
