Never Taken on a Lease Before?
Taking on your first lease can be daunting. Before the first draft of the lease is produced, you’ll have to agree some Heads of Terms (HoTs.)
This is a normally a short, but significant, document that lists out the key terms which will form the foundations of your lease.
When negotiating the lease itself, it can be difficult to try to get something in it which contradicts the HoTs, so it’s important to review the HoTs carefully and not to agree something in the document that could limit any of your rights in the future.
We’ve put together a few points to consider when looking at your first HoTs, click here to find out more.
If you’d like assistance in reviewing your HoTs, which should be done as early as possible, please contact Alex Greenwood or call us on 0345 070 6000.
