HSBC succession planning seminar

In May 2023 we hosted a succession planning breakfast at EMW’s Chancery Lane office with our friends from Berg Kaprow Lewis chartered accountants and HSBC.

The session aimed to bring a variety of business owners together to discuss their unique business journeys and to consider the options and methods for exit and succession planning. The merits and drawbacks of trade sales, management buyouts, and the increasingly popular sales to an employee ownership trust were all considered. Speakers included Daniel Shear of BKL, Tracy Evans of EMW and Laura Morgan of HSBC, who led the attendees through the stages of an exit, the sale options available, and an interesting analysis of the emotional impacts of business succession.
