EMW were proud to, once again, work with Grand Union Housing Group on an acquisition of much needed affordable housing in Northampton. Working with a national housebuilder, Grand Union will be able to deliver 21 more affordable dwellings in Towcester.
In assisting Grand Union, EMW’s social housing and planning teams were able to negotiate and agree complex sale and development agreements across a site with multiple phases and involving site wide planning conditions that needed to be discharged prior to occupation, together with the associated indemnities and due diligence to ensure these affordable homes can be occupied by Grand Union’s customers as soon as possible.
EMW’s social housing team were able to do this within a tight timescale so as to meet the expectations of all parties and continue the longstanding relationship between Grand Union and this national housebuilder.
Helen Davies, Development Project Manager at Grand Union, said: “EMW were a pleasure to work with on this deal, Josh and Luke ensured I was kept up to date and informed throughout the negotiations. This contract had some complexities but they took the time to explain everything in order for Grand Union Housing Group to make informed decisions.”
EMW look forward to working with Grand Union on future projects together.
