We’re delighted to have supported the shareholders of Burbage Realty Partners with their sale to Cushman & Wakefield
Burbage Realty Partners was founded in 2016 when John Burbage’s Burbage Realty teamed up with a management team led by James Harrison, George Underwood and Cameron Mitchell.
Our Corporate team, led by Nick Lloyd and Kirsty Simmonds, assisted the management shareholders of Burbage Realty Partners with the sale of the entire issued share capital of the company to Cushman & Wakefield, one of the world’s leading real estate services firms.
Following the sale, the management shareholders will continue to provide this expertise in their new roles at Cushman & Wakefield. The sale has allowed Cushman & Wakefield to add a highly complementary skill set to their existing business and work towards achieving leading market positions in the key service lines and sectors in the global real estate markets.
James Harrison, one of the selling shareholders of Burbage Realty Partners, commented: “EMW has provided the company with sage and astute advice for many years and was the only firm we considered using when approached to sell our business. Nick, Kirsty and the wider EMW team provided us with invaluable support and guidance throughout the transaction process and we cannot praise them enough. Drawing on years of experience, the team’s advice was both wise and pragmatic which helped us overcome challenges and enabled us to complete the complex business sale in a timely manner."
"I wholeheartedly recommend EMW to other business owners looking for first class legal advice."
Our team, led by Nick Lloyd and Kirsty Simmonds, was assisted by Tom Revitt, Olivia Malek, Sarah Simon and Amanda de Bruyn (Corporate), Batuhan Bikim and Lyndsay Kirkby (Real Estate), Victoria Bevis (Employment) and Christopher Scerri (Commercial, Technology & Data).
