Acquisition of fleet management technology company VeriLocation

“We have worked with VeriLocation since 2003 and are delighted to have supported them through this acquisition. VeriLocation provide a unique offering in terms of their integrated haulage technology products- the use of which is becoming increasingly more popular in the logistics sector. We wish both the parties involved good luck in the future and we are confident that this acquisition will prove to be a success.”

We are pleased to have advised Northampton-based fleet management technology company, VeriLocation on its acquisition by Isotrak, a Milton Keynes based vehicle tracking and management software provider.

VeriLocation specialise in cutting edge vehicle technology and telematics that provide customers with the tools to enhance their fleet operations. They offer a combination of GPS tracking, driver behaviour monitoring and integrated fleet CCTV which is used by clients such as major haulage networks, logistics companies and delivery services to monitor their fleets in real time.

It is VeriLocation’s position at the forefront of fleet based technology that make it a natural candidate for acquisition. The acquisition is strategic move for Isotrak, as they look to bring advanced fleet management software and tracking technology to a much wider audience.

As part of the acquisition, VeriLocation will continue to operate under its original name, with the current management team staying in place.

Andrew Overton, Managing Director at VeriLocation says, “In our time working with EMW, they have assisted us in every aspect of our development. We would not have even considered anyone else to handle the legal matters in our sale and the smooth way in which the transaction went through vindicated our decision.”

The EMW team was led by Principal, Jeremy Eden, and included Principal Nick Lloyd and Solicitor, Sean Halliwell.
