A strong 2018 for our Real Estate team
Meet our latest recruits!
It’s nearing the end of 2018 and what a year it’s been! The addition of our new Gatwick office earlier in the year has enabled our Real Estate team to expand further into new territories, complementing our continued and successful presence in London and Milton Keynes.
Our Occupiers team within Real Estate welcomed four new hires. We were delighted to announce the arrival of our newest Principal into the Real Estate team in Gatwick. Emma Van Klaveren, who joined from PDT, acts for clients in various high profile acquisitions, and has built considerable experience in leading and managing teams.
Senior Solicitor, Rhiannon Penney, advises on a range of commercial property matters including leases, licences and freehold acquisitions and disposals. Solicitor, Mehraj Enus advises on commercial property acquisitions and disposals, which have included warehouse units, office spaces, development land, hotels and agricultural land.
Earlier in the year we also welcomed Principal John Hussey, who joined our Real Estate team based in London. John acts for investors in the acquisition and disposal of all types of real estate assets. He also acts for commercial and residential developers and strategic land promoters.
Our Construction and Development teams have grown with the addition of Solicitor, Nikitta Strongman, and Senior Solicitor, Josh Clark. Nikitta advises on both contentious and non-contentious construction and engineering matters, working with developers, contractors, consultants, sub-contractors, funders, tenants, landlords and purchasers. Josh has a particular specialism in residential and commercial property development, advising clients on landlord and tenant matters, acquisitions and disposals.
Camellia Nixon, our newest Paralegal, joined our Property Finance team who act for banks, buildings societies, peer to peer and private lenders, as well as commercial property, including shops, offices, factories, pubs, restaurants and hotels.
Our sector teams (Healthcare, Education and Social Housing) continue to grow with the addition of Solicitor, Ramnish Sharma, who supports the sector teams with a particular focus on development.
Stephen Kay, Principal & Head of Real Estate, says:
"I’m delighted to welcome all of our new starters and wish them all the best for a successful 2019 as part of our Expanding Real Estate team!"
