EMW win “Corporate Law Firm of the Year” at the Central & East of England Dealmakers Awards

Winners for the third time

We have won “Corporate Law Firm of the Year” for the third time in four years, at the 2011 Insider Central and East of England Dealmakers Awards.

Also shortlisted for the award were Shoosmiths, SNR Dentons and Tollers Solicitors.

Insider Media’s Dealmakers Awards took place on Thursday 17 November and acknowledge the outstanding achievements of law firms and other members of the corporate finance and M&A advisory community.

We have advised many deals this year including:

Bearward Engineering, the world’s leading producer of industrial radiators, with 600 employees, on its sale to a leading US engineering company
Sale of Wayside Group, the 20 branch, regional motor dealer, to Lancaster plc
Enviroparks, a new energy from waste company, who secured planning approval for a major renewable energy plant in Wales
National Accident Helpline Limited, the Kettering based marketing and legal services company, on its acquisition of PPI Claimline Limited
German based, Japanese owned, Wacom Europe Gmbh, a producer of innovative, PC-related tools, on its acquisition of Florentis, a leading software consultancy specialising in electronic signature technology

We also acted for the management team of Heating Plumbing Supplies Limited, in a management buyout of the existing business via an open offer to shareholders. This transaction won the 2011 Deal of the Year at the awards.
