Using settlement agreements to resolve employment disputes:
Although the number of Employment Tribunal claims has reduced since the introduction of fees, the number of disputes in the workplace remains stubbornly high. Settlement agreements can be a useful mechanism for resolving both termination disputes and in-employment claims. However, a badly worded agreement can leave you with a worse dispute than the one you were trying to settle (not to mention giving you troubles with the taxman!). In this session we will look at:
- What makes a settlement agreement work?
- What should you include?
- When can you make tax free payments?
Come along and find out the answers to these and many more questions...
